Ben Affleck’s ‘roving eye’ key factor in split with Jennifer Garner

While much has been made of Jennifer Garner’s unhappiness over husband Ben Affleck’s high-stakes gambling habit, it turns out reported straying from his marriage vows was the final blow to the couple’s long relationship.

A source close to the couple told me Wednesday, “Ben simply does have a roving eye that has got him in trouble from time to time. Jen has forgiven him over and over, but it finally got to be too much.

“From Jennifer’s point of view, their marriage was sacred and she hated to lose it — especially because of their three kids, to whom both of them are deeply devoted. … But she finally reached the breaking point.”

Apparently, not even very intense marriage counseling was sufficient to mend the broken fences of the Affleck-Garner marriage — long thought to be one of the better ones in Hollywood.
