Prosecutors announced a $500 reward Wednesday for with information about the whereabouts of a witness in an ongoing trial.

Marshaun T. Gaston, 31, is a key witness in a murder trial that is already under way, according to a statement from the Will County state’s attorney’s office.

Gaston is on parole from Stateville Correctional Center, where he was serving a six-year sentence for a 2012 drug conviction, according to the Illinois Department of Correction.

He is described as a 6-foot-3, 207-pound black man with brown eyes, according to the statement. He is believed to be in the Joliet area.
