R. Kelly’s brother says the singer has stiffed him on $11,000 in wages, and he reportedly is asking the state to help him collect.

Bruce Kelly told TMZ his famous brother hired him in March as a personal assistant and driver, verbally agreeing to pay him $700 a week. After collecting nothing, he filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Labor.

A spokeswoman for the department confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that the complaint is being investigated but declined to reveal details.

“i can’t believe this is what I have to resort to to get paid from my own Brother,” Bruce Kelly wrote on his Facebook page. “I know my mother is turning over in her grave!! this is not how joann kelly raised us. what’s wrong with paying your brother what you owe him. you pay everybody else!!” He also promised a tell-all book in early 2016.

The Chicago musician and his management did not respond to the Tribune’s requests for comment.
