MaxPreps has unearthed some rare footage of Bulls legend Michael Jordan dunking during his days at Laney High School in North Carolina.

Long before he was Air Jordan, MJ was a two-year starter on the Laney varsity team, culminating in a senior campaign in which he averaged a triple-double and earned a spot in the McDonald’s All-American Game, according to MaxPreps.

Check out the footage below of Jordan — still wearing No. 23 — throwing down a one-handed dunk on a fast break.
