Bears hold out Jermon Bushrod from practice

BOURBONNAIS — The Bears held right tackle Jermon Bushrod out of training camp practice Saturday.

Coach John Fox wouldn’t go into specifics, other than to say it was “our decision.”

Bushrod said earlier this week he was happy he rehabilitated a disc injury in his back in time for the start of camp.

“I want to build off that,” he said then.

Bushrod practiced the first two days but watched the third in shorts and a T-shirt.

Tight end Dante Rosario missed practice for the second-straight day, excused for a personal reason, but will return to Olivet Nazarene University late Saturday, Fox said.

The first day of padded practice brought a few bumps and bruises. Defensive end Will Sutton had an injured ankle wrapped up but returned to practice, Fox said. Defensive lineman Ego Ferguson was bothered by a leg cramp, while guard Kyle Long bruised his shoulder.

Cornerback Kyle Fuller, who injured his ankle Friday, suited up but was limited in drills.
