A man has been charged with shooting another man to death last week in northwest Indiana.

Gentry Jackson, 35, was charged Tuesday with the murder of 44-year-old Alec McCloud, according to Gary police.

McCloud was found withmultiple gunshot woundsin his vehicle a few minutes before 8 p.m. on Aug. 3 at 5th Avenue and Roosevelt Street in Gary, Ind., according to police andthe Lake County coroner’s office.

McCloud, who lived in the 2100 block of Delaware Place in Gary, was taken toMethodist Hospital Northlake, where he was pronounced dead at 9:16 p.m., according to police and the coroner’s office.

Jackson was arrested and is being held at the Lake County Jail, police said.
