An elderly north suburban man died Friday night of injuries he suffered in a crash last week in Northbrook.

Seymour Laurie, 88, was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m. at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The crash happened Aug. 3 near the intersection of Sanders Road and Commercial Avenue in Northbrook, about half a mile from his home in the 4500 block of Lindenwood Lane, authorities said.

An autopsy Saturday found he died of complications of multiple injuries from the crash and ruled his death an accident.

Northbrook police could not immediately be reached for details.
