A man was shot early Monday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was shot in the hip and ankle about 4:15 a.m. in the 6400 block of South King Drive, according to preliminary information from police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, but additional information was not immediately available.
