Rookie outfielder Trayce Thompson has given the White Sox a burst of energy since being called up last week. Tuesday night, Thompson hit his first career home run.

While the fans were going crazy at the sight of the young prospect rounding the bases, the White Sox decided to take a different route. They gave him the silent treatment.

That’s some good teamwork on display. Not a single player broke rank to congratulate Thompson.

Fortunately, they didn’t keep the bit up for too long. After reaching the end of the dugout, Melky Cabrera and Jose Abreu finally gave Thompson the love he deserved.

Hopefully, for both the White Sox and their fans, this is just the first of many home run celebrations for Thompson.
