It’s a night and day difference between July and August for White Sox pitcher Jeff Samardzija.

In July, the White Sox pitcher was 3-1 with a 2.27 ERA and 23 strikeouts. Batters were hitting just .180 against him.

Samardzija has collapsed in August. He is 0-3 with a 12.91 ERA and only nine strikeouts.

The White Sox pitcher has given up as many runs in August as the entire Cubs pitching staff combined.
