Former 2012 first-round pick Albert Almora dropped outside the top 100 prospects list this season after he struggled early on at the plate. But Almora turned his hitting problems around and was listed as the 99th prospect in the top 100 prospects rankings on Tuesday.

From MLB.com:

Almora set a record by playing for six U.S. national teams before signing with the Cubs for $3.9 million as the sixth overall pick in the 2012 Draft. One of the most advanced position players to come out of high school in recent years, he has outstanding instincts in all phases of the game. His pro career hasn’t gone quite as smoothly as hoped, as he had hamate and groin injuries in 2013 and struggled for much of 2014, though he did reach Double-A at age 20.

Almora has raised his average to .268 with five home runs, 38 RBI and seven stolen bases.
