The Cubs are on pace to reach the postseason for the first time since 2008, so the release of Major League Baseball’s playoff dates has meaning once again.

Currently in a wild card spot, the Cubs would play the National League wild-card game on Oct. 7 and air on TBS.

The National League Divisional Series are slated to begin Oct. 9. The NLCS begins Oct. 17.

Should the Cubs reach the World Series, the first game will be played Oct. 27 on FOX. The Cubs would host World Series games Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

That’s right: Halloween baseball in Chicago is still a possibility.
