A man was shot after an argument Sunday night in northwest suburban Elgin.

The 26-year-old man got into an argument with several males he didn’t know in the 1200 block of Peachtree Lane about 10 p.m., according to a statement from Elgin police.

One of the males pulled out a gun and shot him, police said. The 26-year-old man was taken to Presence Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where he was treated for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
