Three men have been charged with breaking into a home Monday in west suburban Aurora.

The break-in happened sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. Aug. 17 in the 1800 block of Diamond Creek Lane, according to a statement from Aurora police. About $2,100 worth of cash, electronics and other items were taken from the home.

Oswego police contacted Aurora detectives the next day after they found items they couldn’t trace in the possession of four men they’d arrested for burglary, according to the statement. Aurora detectives were able to tie the items to the Diamond Creek burglary.

After interviewing the men Oswego police had in custody, Aurora investigators presented the case to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office, police said.

The state’s attorney’s office approved residential burglary charges against 19-year-old Grantham Williams of the 2300 block of West Odessa Court in Plainfield; 18-year-old Kendall Parker of the 13600 block of Kittyhawk Court in Plainfield; and 18-year-old Robert Pannell or the 1700 block of Arbor Lane in Crest Hill.

All three men are being held on $100,000 bonds, according to police.
