A 21-year-old man was shot in the hand in South Shore Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened about 3:15 p.m. in the 7700 block of South South Shore Drive, police News Affairs Officer Nicole Trainor said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Trainor said.

Details on the circumstances of the shooting were not available.
