An 18-year-old man was seriously wounded in an Auburn Gresham neighborhood shooting Saturday afternoon on the South Side.

About 4:45 p.m., he was in the 1300 block of West 82nd Street when he heard shots and realized he had been struck in the back, police News Affairs Officer Nicole Trainor said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, Trainor said.
