A 26-year-old man took himself to a hospital Saturday afternoon after being shot in Auburn Gresham on the South Side.

He walked into Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park about 1:20 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the hand, police News Affairs Officer Nicole Trainor said.

He told investigators he was shot in the 7800 block of South Emerald, Trainor said.

Police think the shooting might have been gang-related.
