One man was killed and another was wounded in a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting Monday night.

About 8:20 p.m., the two — ages 24 and 21 — were in a red van traveling in the 1100 block of North Keeler when several males shot at them from across the street, police said.

The 24-year-old driver, identified as Hughvon Polk, was shot in the left side of his chest and left arm, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Polk, of the 2800 block of West Flournoy, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died at 9:06 p.m., authorities said.

The younger man was shot in the left hand and suffered a graze wound to his left arm. He was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
