Three people were hurt in a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The group was standing on the sidewalk in the 8000 block of South Normal a few minutes before 1 p.m. when someone fired shots from a passing vehicle, police said.

A 56-year-old man was shot in the right arm and left leg, a 25-year-old woman was shot in the left leg and an 18-year-old man was shot in the left thigh.

Police said all three were taken to hospitals, where their conditions stabilized.
