Arkansas basketball honors Bobby Portis with plaque at new facility

The University of Arkansas basketball program will always remember former forward Bobby Portis as the only first round pick since 2006 when Ronnie Brewer was drafted by the Utah Jazz. Now, Arkansas won’t be able to forget about Portis either.

The University displayed a plaque of Portis holding his Bulls jersey in the new University of Arkansas Basketball Performance Center in Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas forward Keaton Miles is standing next to the Portis, who would be a junior at the University this year.

Portis recorded three double-doubles during the Bulls summer league, but there’s no indication of his role on the team as of yet.
