Man shot in Pilsen

A man was shot early Friday in the Pilsen neighborhood.

About 12:15 a.m., the 50-year-old was walking through an alley in the 1600 block of South Blue Island when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said. The vehicle then sped away.

The man was shot in the wrist, police said. He later walked into University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
