Bulls star Derrick Rose denied allegations brought against him in a civil lawsuit that he sexually assaulted an ex-girlfriend two years ago in Los Angeles.

“I am just focusing on staying healthy and getting ready for the season,” Rose said in a statement released by his attorney. “I am not going to comment other than to say—I know the truth, and am confident I will be proven innocent.”

The plaintiff, identified as “Jane Doe” in the suit, alleges Rose and two friends drugged and sexually assaulted her after breaking into her apartment in August of 2013.
