Police are looking for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side for more than a week.

Mikaylah Martin has been missing from the 5700 block of South Prairie since Aug. 19, according to a missing person alert from Chicago police.

Martin is described as a 5-foot-1, 165-pound black girl with brown eyes, purple and blue hair and a dark complexion, police said. She was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans.

She has been known to frequent the area near 51st and Indiana, according to police.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
