Before the Los Angeles Dodgers played the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, second baseman Enrique Hernandez posted a photo proclaiming it “banana lovers day.” And people had a lot of fun at his expense.
Happy Banana Lovers Day! Share your love of bananas by tagging your photos #BananaLoversDay & #ChiquitaDay pic.twitter.com/JYkhjMIqa5

During the game, Hernandez took a huge swing at the plate and fell. The Dodgers second baseman tweeted after the game that he fell because the batters box was slippery. Maybe Hernandez slipped on a banana.

That box was so slippery!

The Cubs Twitter account decided to take a jab at Hernandez as well. They posted a picture of a banana next to a Cubs helmet, and the Dodgers second baseman responded accordingly.

@Cubs @Dodgers that's not cool!

Hernandez is in the lineup on Friday against the Cubs, and he’ll try to make Chicago pay for the insult.
