A 26-year-old man was shot in the back Saturday evening while driving in Englewood on the South Side.

About 6 p.m., he was at the wheel of a vehicle in traffic in the 5600 block of South Shields when another car pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He drove himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, and he later was transferred to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
