Two men were shot in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood early Tuesday on the Lower West Side.

The men, who are both 23 years old, were sitting in a vehicle at a stop light in the 2300 block of South Damen at 1:52 a.m. when a gold vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said.

Both men were struck and the driver took them to Stroger Hospital, police said.

One man was shot in both shoulders and the leg and was listed in guarded condition, police said. The other man suffered a graze wound to the back of the neck. His condition was stabilized.
