A man was shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday afternoon.

About 4:20 p.m., the 27-year-old was shot in the hand in the 500 block of East 75th Street, police said.

He took himself to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, but his condition was not known, police said.
