A man was shot and seriously wounded Thursday evening in the Montclare neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 7:25 p.m., the 25-year-old was shot in the chest in the 2700 block of North Oak Park Avenue, police said.

He was taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
