A man was wounded in an Austin neighborhood shooting early Friday.

About 1 a.m., the 24-year-old was walking in the 100 block of North Mayfield when a person got out of a dark-colored SUV and shot him in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
