A man was shot and critically wounded in the Burnside neighborhood on the South Side early Saturday.

About 2:40 a.m., the 23-year-old got into an argument with “a known offender” in the 9200 block of South Drexel, police said. During the argument, the male pulled out and gun and shot the 23-year-old several times.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
