Man shot in West Englewood

A 31-year-old man was shot early Monday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 12:30 a.m., he was walking outside in the 1700 block of West 58th Street when he heard shots and realized he’d been struck in the arm and leg, police said.

He took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police think the shooting was gang-related.
