A burglary alert has been issued by Chicago Police after four incidents this month in Jefferson Park on the Northwest Side.

Offenders take electronics, jewelry and cash after entering residences through front or rear doors, police said.

All four incidents occurred during day and early evening hours between Elston Avenue and Montrose Avenue, and Cicero Avenue to Central Avenue.

The incidents were reported in the 4700 block of North Lamon on Aug. 14 between 3–6 a.m.; and in the 5100 block of North Lovejoy on Aug. 22 between 8:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m., police said.

Incidents were also reported in the 5200 block of West Strong on Aug. 28 between 8 a.m.–11:50 p.m.; and in the 5300 block of West Winona on Aug. 29 at 12:20 p.m., police said.

Police advise residents to keep all doors and windows locked, and pay special attention to anyone loitering in the area.

Anyone with information should call Area North Detectives at (312) 744-8263.
