Robberies reported in Grand Crossing

Police are warning residents of a series of robbery reports over the past month in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The robberies occurred at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 7200 block of South Ingleside Avenue and at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 7300 block of South South Chicago Avenue, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

In these incidents, the suspects approach a person, demand items and then run away. In one instance, a suspect punched a person in the face, police said.

There are three suspects in these robberies, police said. The first is a 20-year-old black man, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8 and 130 pounds, with a dark complexion and Afro hairstyle.

The second is a black male, whose age is unknown, between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet and 160 to 180 pounds. He has a medium complexion and dreadlocks.

The third is a black male, whose age is unknown, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-6 and 140 to 150 pounds. He has a medium complexion and short hair.
