Outside of LeBron James, health has been the biggest problem for the Bulls over the last five seasons.

Last year was no different. Taj Gibson told media members Saturday that he played last season with a torn ligament in his ankle.

KC Johnson also reported that Gibson wants to start training camp, but doctors and coaches are preaching patience.

With Fred Hoiberg now in charge, Gibson said the coach’s style fits his game. The forward said his relationship with Hoiberg goes back to his time in college at USC.

The Bulls start their preseason schedule in less than a month. The regular season starts Oct. 27 at home against the Cavaliers.
