A man was shot early Sunday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

About 2:35 a.m., the 32-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 500 block of East 75th Street when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the left ankle, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
