Chicago Bulls center Pau Gasol has been one of the more polished offensive big men since his 2001 debut in the NBA. His soft touch and technique has allowed him to make a name for himself scoring the ball from 10 feet and closer.
However, his defense in the paint could use a jumpstart. Gasol has averaged more than two blocks per contest in just two of his 15 seasons.
If his play in the EuroBasketball Championship is any indication, Gasol may continue to have some problems on the defensive end in 2015.
In the second quarter of Spain’s victory over Germany, German star and Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schröder lobbed a pass for teammate Tibor Pleiss — who dunk-faced the Bulls center.
