Things have been pretty much perfect for Northwestern since the 2015 college football season started. Now, they have officially taken a step up in class.

Following their dominant win over Eastern Illinois, the Wildcats broke into the top 25 of the Coaches Poll and AP Poll.

Northwestern was ranked No. 24 by the coaches and No. 23 by the AP.

The win over Eastern wouldn’t normally be that big of a deal. However, because of the dominant performance combined with their upset win over Stanford a week earlier, the Cats are on the rise.

Northwestern hasn’t been included in the top 25 rankings since their 10-4 season in 2012.

The Wildcats are one of four Big Ten teams included in the national rankings. They are joined by Wisconsin, Michigan State, and top ranked Ohio State.

Next week Northwestern goes on the road to play Duke in Durham, NC.
