A man was injured in an Irving Park neighborhood shooting early Sunday on the Northwest Side.

The man, 36, was standing on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of North Bernard about 3:25 a.m. when he was approached by two males who fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the right leg and upper back and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
