Three people were hurt in a shooting early Tuesday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Two 16-year-old girls and a 21-year-old man were walking down the street in the 5400 block of South Wood at 1:34 a.m. when they heard shots and realized they had been hit, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

One of the girls was shot in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital, Gaines said. The other suffered a graze wound to the hip and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital. Both were listed in good condition.

The man was shot in the elbow and also taken to St. Bernard in good condition, Gaines said.
