Two people were shot Monday morning in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

About 1:40 a.m., the 21-year-old woman and 19-year-old man were standing outside with a group of people in the 700 block of West 93rd Street when an unidentified male walked up and fired shots at them, police said.

The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the foot, while the man was shot in the leg, police said. They were both taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions were stabilized.

The remains, of a man possibly in his 40s, were recovered about 6:40 a.m.
The woman, 18, was driving a car with three passengers at a restaurant when a man on a bike approached and began arguing with them before shooting, police said.
A 34-year-old man was found on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East 111th Street at about 10 p.m., police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
