A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Monday night.

About 10:15 p.m., the 18-year-old was standing on the street in the 5400 block of West Adams when someone walked up and shot him in the shoulder, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
