A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 28-year-old was shot in the back in a possible drive-by shooting about 12:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Washtenaw, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, according to police.

Police said the man is a self-admitted gang member.
