A man was shot in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood early Saturday.

The 24-year-old was a passenger in the front seat of a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 2100 block of West Cullerton about 3:25 a.m. when another male walked up and shot him, police said.

He was driven to UIC Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his upper left thigh, police said. His condition had stabilized.
