Somehow, the Notre Dame injury bug finds a way to inflict yet another member of its football team.

This time, though, it was more safety Drue Tranquill’s fault than sheer bad luck.

In Saturday’s contest against Georgia Tech, safety Drue Tranquill suffered an untimely leg injury while celebrating a broken pass in the first half of the game.

Last season, Tranquill played in 11 of the Irish’s games and started three. He had one of his best games of the season versus Louisville last year, where he snatched one interception from the sky. Unfortunately, it would be the last game of Tranquill’s 2014 season as he would later leave the game with an ACL injury.
