A man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting Wednesday evening in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 5:30 p.m., the three men got into a fight with another person who then pulled out a gun and started firing in the 5900 block of West Diversey, according to Chicago Police.

Daniel Guerra, 19, was shot in the neck and chest and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Guerra lived in the 2100 block of North McVicker.

A 23-year-old man shot in the back also was taken to Illinois Masonic in critical condition, and a 22-year-old shot in the hand was taken to Community First Medical Center. His condition stabilized, police said.

About 24 hours earlier, an 18-year-old man was killed and a 21-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting about a half mile south.
