A concessions worker at an independent baseball league park in northwest Indiana stole more than $1,400 over a three-day period last week, police said.

Terra E. Spencer, 44, was an Aramark employee working concessions at U.S. Steel Yard ballpark, home of the Gary SouthShore Railcats of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, according to Gary police.

Receipts showed that Spencer, a Gary resident, shorted her register from Aug. 27 through 30 to make off a total of $1403.50, police said.

She remains held on a felony theft charge.
