The manager of a massage therapy business in northwest suburban Barrington pleaded guilty Monday to one count of criminal sexual abuse.

Michael S. Greenfield, 58, was sentenced to two years’ probation and must register as a sex offender for the next 10 years, according to a statement from Barrington police. He must also attend sex offender counseling, provide a DNAsample, and be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

Greenfield, the manager of Sole2Soul Bodywork, abused a 54-year-old customer during a massage session on Jan. 15, police said. The business is located at 1250 S. Grove Ave. in Barrington.

On March 9, police said Greenfield was charged with criminal sexual assault for another incident at the business, but that second charge was dismissed as part of a negotiated plea agreement, according to police.
