SHARE Man, 45, shot in University Village park

A man was shot in a park in the University Village neighborhood Wednesday night.

About 8:45 p.m., the 45-year-old was standing in a park in the 1400 block of West 15th Street when a male on a bicycle rode up and shot him in the abdomen and buttocks, police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized late Wednesday, police said.
