SHARE Pau Gasol on pace to join elite NBA company in 2015 season

Bulls forward Pau Gasol has developed into one of the best big men in the NBA and is one of the few remaining players to excel with his back to the basket. When the 2015 season begins, Gasol will be 745 rebounds away from 10,000 rebounds.

If he accomplishes the feat next year, he’ll be the 36th player to notch 10,000 points and 10,000 rebounds in a career, according to ESPN.

Gasol will join elite company of NBA bigs and wing men that are multifaceted — a theme of his game since his rookie season.
