SHARE Man shot in leg, wounded in Gary

A man was shot in his right calf early Saturday in Gary.

The police said he was outside in the 300 block of Van Buren Street just after midnight, heard six shots and realized he’d been wounded.

He was taken to Methodists Hospital Northlake in Gary for treatment.
